F.E.A.R. expansion announced, TimeGate to develop
Sierra Entertainment has announced that Extraction Point, the first F.E.A.R. expansion, is in the works and will be released for the PC this fall. TimeGate (Axis & Allies, Kohan) is handling the development, including the story concept. However, according to Vivendi (Sierra's parent company), Monolith is working closely with the studio to ensure that the expansion maintains the integrity of the original game.Monolith, now owned by Warner Bros., is working on its own sequel to F.E.A.R. and would do well to steer TimeGate in the right direction, as the expansion will likely tie the first and second games together. Monolith is also working with Vivendi to release the v1.5 patch, which will enhance F.E.A.R.'s multiplayer.
Note: whether or not the expansion content will make it into the Xbox 360 port of F.E.A.R. has not been revealed.

F.E.A.R. was awesome on PC. can't wait to actually play more than 15 minutes of it on my 360 since my pc won't run it.

What they need to do is make that addon with vehicles. I still play alod pc because it's just awesome having your boys riding out in a vehicle together while talking to them on teamspeak. F.E.A.R. is just another "run around in a warehouse and shoot people" game like CS. It's time to move on to bigger and better things.

It would be cool if this expansion was longer than the five hours it took me to finish the original's single player on normal difficultly. That would be worth more money.
Not really.

Let's hope Timegate doesn't have the cut-and-paste level design mentality.

Hmm, Timegate is 10 minutes from my house in Sugar Land. Time to call and ask for a tour... : )

I can't wait. I hope they make a few minor improvements but hopefully they will stick to the same formula as the original. I agree about the cut and paste method, but it wasn't that big of a deal to me.
