E for All Expo may prompt you to envision a discreet gathering of drug dealers or a wild party where people bash each other over the head with giant foam letters, the truth is that
entertainment will be the only thing being distributed. With Nintendo acting as a
"flagship" for the October event, many expect it to replace the glitz and clamor of E3, with the exception of it being open
to all. All with at least $50 in hand, of course.
Speaking to
Gamespot last week, IDG World Expo vice president and show organizer, Mary Dolaher, revealed the exact pricing of the different entry tickets. How
Mary Dolahers many dollars are you expected to part with, exactly? Single day tickets for Thursday and Friday will set you back $50, whereas single day tickets for the weekend go for $75. A four-day pass is set at $110.
Though the precise scope of industry support for the expo has yet to be seen, there are probably
more terrible ways to spend $50 in a day. The E For All Expo will run in Los Angeles from 18 October to 21 October, with general admission tickets going on sale in June.

I promise Red Steel wasn't as bad as everyone thinks it was...honestly.
It wasn't a great game, by any means, but it did manage to divert attention somewhere other then real life. And THAT'S a good thing in a videogame.

Do I want to pay $50 to go learn about a bunch of upcoming Nintendo games or do I want to pay $50 to buy a Nintendo game when it comes out? I'm sure anything important will be on the internet in a matter of minutes, or even seconds if there's any live-blogging going on.

I think most people that hate Red Steel haven't played it or only watched somebody play through the tutorial levels. The last couple levels are nuts. Sensai and I are in the 1337 Red Steel club.

i rented RedSteel, it's an okay game...only got to the top of the building to escape in the early part of the game. will have to re-rent it and complete it at some point.

I wonder how is the E For All Expo going to compare to the Penny Arcade Expo? I think E is going to have to amazing to justify the $110 all-weekend price tag over the $40-50 all-weekend price tag of PAX.

wow....50$ is a bit steep......and the question is....will it be as elaborate as the original E3....
If it is...then the 50$ is worth it....if it's similar to DIGITAL LIFE In NYC or the other Game Expo Tours....then NO it isn't worth 50$.
For someone who used to fly from the east coast to LA , book hotel rooms, etc. to goto E3......
They'd better give more information before I'd sign up....

Considering how much a ticket at Disneyland costs, this doesn't sound all that bad. However, I don't live close enough to where they're doing this, so that sucks for me.

You are quoting the prices incorrectly. A 2-DAY pass for Thursday AND Friday will set you back $50, and a 2-DAY pass for Saturday AND Sunday goes for $75. In addition...Advance Tickets are on sale now and those prices are even less ($45 for a Thursday/Friday 2-Day pass, $65 for a Saturday/Sunday 2-Day pass, and $90 for a 4-day pass.
