Uh, a rebuilt Compaq/E-machine meld. Missing register keys create its own anti-virus (it will hardly run the programs built for it). I have to be careful playing Pyramid Solitaire. I need a new machine.

Oh man, build it 4 years ago. It now has an Athlon 64 3200, with 1 gig of ram and an old Radeon 9800 that puts crackles on the screen now. :-(

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (2.17 GHz)
1GB RAM
128MB Radeon 9800 Pro
2 HD, one with 120GB and one with 80GB (except that one clicks loudly whenever I load anything off of it and has done so for 2 years now... strange)

I would definitely enjoy a new PC... college and rent suck up most of the money I'd like to spend on a new one at the moment.

I got this computer in 2002, and it had a sweet 60GB hard drive and 2.0ghz of processing power--yet it now runs Starcraft just like my old Compaq Presario 233mhz Pentium II back in 1998.

My PC runs so slow I get terrible lag playing online. I don't know if it's the plague of spyware and viruses, or the fact that I don't know how to install my X800 Radeon graphics card correctly--because it sounds more like a dryer machine than a video card.

For a few months, I couldn't even get Starcraft to play on battle.net on my rig. Battle.net wouldn't allow it--not joking. World of Warcraft detected the problem as a win32 agent (trojan), then told me the wrong way to fix it. :(

My rig is still pretty decent. Had 2 gigs of ram, well still do but can only use 1 cause it crashes now with 2, I think it's the mobo. Anyway 3gig pentium 4, x800xtpe, x-fi, sata hd, oh and I actually knew what they were talking about with the cpu cooling fan, cause I have the Zalman CNPS9500, works awesome!
